Tumakuru: BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa has said that he will be filing a defamation case against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for his persistent statements claiming to put him behind bars.

Addressing reporters after visiting Siddaganga Math on Tuesday, BSY said that he has already consulted legal experts in connection to the same and that he is sure about going ahead with a case.

“The CM is unnecessarily making baseless allegations on me. To hide his own failures, he has now raked up the issue of power purchase and has dragged MP Shobha Karandalaje and me into the case,” he said challenging that in days to come he will expose several scams involving K J George and the CM.

Meanwhile, launching a scathing attacking on Chief Minister Siddramaiah for his statement that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scared of him, B S Yeddyurappa has said that the CM has only manifested his foolishness by making such a trivial statement.

“The CM is acting like a dictator and it is unbecoming of him to have made such a statement against the PM,” he said.

Driving the contrast between the PM and the CM in connection to both of their recent visit to Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara temple, BSY said that while the PM remained on a fast as he was entering a temple of great sanctity, the CM went about proclaiming that he did not just eat fish but also relish chicken before entering the temple. “The CM’s announcements have only hurt the emotions of lakhs of devotees of the temple,” he said adding that the CM must seek apologies of the devotees of the temple.
