Tumakuru: Checkposts have been set up at various places in the District in connection with the Assembly General Elections – 2023 and FST and SST teams are functioning.
Muniswamy Kataiah, who came on a CD Deluxe from Tovinakere end at Jonigarahalli Cross Checkpost in Koratagere Assembly Constituency limits was stopped and checked. Rs. 1,20,000 cash was recovered.
It is said that person did not give a reasonable reply in this regard, and thus the members of the SST team seized the said persons’ money and took the said person into custody. They have lodged an FIR no. GSC No. A case has been registered at Koratagere Police Station as on 131/2023, said Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Dr. K. Vidyakumari.
