Tumakuru: “If you take the example of self-respect and honesty, it is only Kanakadasa, said Congressman Dr. G. Parameshwara.

He was speaking at the 535th Kanaka Jayanthi programme organised at Pannenahalli Village in Holavanahalli Hobli of Koratagere Taluk in the District. He said that there are many great men who have been born in our country and in the State. Kanakadasa belongs to the ranks of such great personalities and his devotion was such that even after 535 years in terms of religion and devotion, Kanakadasa cannot be forgotten, he noted.

“Kanakadasa was the only person who had seen God first-hand and the idealism of bhakti, knowledge and sacrifice needs to be imbibed by everyone in the society in the present context,” he said and added that there is a need for everyone to imbibe his ideals and philosophy.
