Tumakuru: Walls of polling station decorated with Rangoli

Tumakuru: Tumakuru Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer D. Jaipal said that the voter turnout in Tumakuru Rural Assembly Constituency has been set at 100 per cent.

In this regard, rangoli competitions, bike rallies, promotion of voter awareness songs through auto mics, signature collection campaigns, jatha for voter awareness in every village, and door-to-door visits, have been organised. More specifically, the polling booths have been decorated with rangoli patterns to attract voters,,he said.

Under the Sveep programme of Karnataka Assembly General Elections-2023, apart from creating awareness among the public, youth, the elderly and the differently-abled about voting, sakhi polling booth decorated with pink colour in government schools under gram panchayats of the taluk, eco-friendly polling station decorated with green colour, friendly polling booth for the differently abled, nature and wildlife, young voters, Kalpataru model polling station, selfie point, etc., have been prepared with various themes.

“He said the importance of voting was highlighted with lines written on the wall such as My vote is not for sale , voting is our right, vote is our right, vote, save democracy, young men and women are the future of the country, etc.
