Bengaluru: Police arrested two men and seized 1.44 kg of ganja-laced gummies, estimated to be worth ₹3 lakh, in a crackdown on narcotics distribution.

The accused have been identified as TS Mohammad Zahid (25) and Ismail Adnan (24), both originally from Chikkamagaluru and currently residing in Hebbal. According to police sources, the duo was allegedly attempting to sell the cannabis-infused edibles, which had been packed and prepared for distribution.

Acting on a tip-off, law enforcement officers intercepted the suspects and confiscated the drug-laced sweets during a routine patrol. Investigations are ongoing to trace the source of the narcotics and determine if a larger drug distribution network is involved.

Authorities have reiterated the dangers of drug-infused edibles and warned the public against consuming suspicious packaged products.
