Two dead, four injured after under-construction building collapses

Bengaluru: Two labourers from Bihar and West Bengal died on the spot, while four others sustained serious injuries when an under-construction building collapsed inside the Yeshwanthpur RMC yard in the heart of the city.

The deceased have been identified as Rahul from Bihar and Rakesh from West Bengal.

According to the RMC yard police, the incident happened in the early hours on Friday, April 5, at around 4.40 AM. When the building collapsed, the labourers were sleeping inside.

Police sources said that the building was three-floor storeys high. “The injured have been admitted to a private hospital. The dead bodies have been taken to K R General Hospital,” said police.
