Two from Karnataka to contest against PM Modi in Varanasi

Bengaluru: Medical practitioner-turned-journalist, Dr U P Shivananda from Puttur in Dakshina Kannada and Suhail Sait from the Govindapura area in Bengaluru, are contesting against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency.

The two are contesting as independent candidates.

U P Shivananda has informed that he will file his nomination papers on April 29. Interestingly, Shivananda is also contesting from Amethi against AICC president Rahul Gandhi.

Meanwhile, Sait, a businessman, has informed that he is sure of a win against the Prime Minister in Varanasi. He will be filing his nomination papers on Friday.
