At TechSparks 2024 in Mumbai, Gaurav Munjal, the CEO of Unacademy, encouraged entrepreneurs from Delhi and Mumbai to consider relocating to Bengaluru for better prospects of success. Munjal emphasized the unparalleled advantages offered by Bengaluru’s startup ecosystem, highlighting the city’s strong network effect and conducive environment for budding businesses.

While acknowledging Mumbai’s appeal as a vibrant city, Munjal asserted that Bengaluru surpasses it as the ideal destination for running a startup. He emphasized the abundance of networking opportunities in Bengaluru, citing encounters in coffee shops where individuals are driven by entrepreneurial ambitions.

Munjal, who himself transitioned from Mumbai to Bengaluru, noted the slower pace of life in the latter but emphasized the significantly higher odds of success for startups. He attributed this to the unique energy and network effects prevalent in Bengaluru, underscoring the importance of leveraging the city’s ecosystem to enhance the probability of success for budding entrepreneurs.

Highlighting Bengaluru’s status as India’s Silicon Valley, Munjal referred to a recent report indicating the city’s dominance as the primary hub for self-made entrepreneurs and valued companies in the millennium. According to the report by Hurun India, Bengaluru boasts the highest number of industry leaders, surpassing other major cities like Mumbai, Gurugram, and New Delhi.

In conclusion, Munjal urged entrepreneurs to consider Bengaluru as their preferred destination for startup ventures, emphasizing the unparalleled opportunities and conducive ecosystem that the city offers for business growth and success.
