Bengaluru: With the idea of finding an amicable solution to the Mekedatu project, union water resources minister Nitin Gadkari will hold a meeting of all Southern states soon. Gadkari gave an assurance to Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy in this regard on Wednesday evening.
CM HDK, who is on a two-day New Delhi visit, met Gadkari to discuss various pending projects of the state. At the time of the discussion, Gadkari gave an assurance to HDK in this regard.
Gadkari informed HDK that he is aware of the concerns of the state and will do his best to find an amicable solution.
HDK discussed speeding up of the various pending National Highway projects including the widening of Mysuru-Madikeri-Mangaluru road.
