Bengaluru: First women rowdy-sheeter of the city, Yashaswini Gowda who was recently appointed as the chief of Shri Ram Sena city unit has been selected for the honorary doctorate from US university.
According to the CCB police, recently they received a communication from their intelligence sources that Yashaswini Gowda may get an honorary doctorate from US university under the category of social service.
“A few agents in the city are behind this honorary doctorate. We are investigating,” said police.
According to the sources, these university agents are known for selling the honorary doctorates even though it has no value in the society. “They charge Rs.1.5 lakhs per honorary doctorate. Every year, at least 10-15 honorary doctorates are sold in the name of US university,” said a police officer.
