Bangalore: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that the government will ensure that at least one water purification unit is set up in every gram panchayat limits.
The Chief Minister said such a step is being taken to see to it that the rural masses are free from diseases arising out of consumption of contaminated water. Such units will come up in 6000 Gram Panchayats, he said.
In the first phase 2000 such units have been approved, the CM said and added finance would be extended to more such water purification units in the days to come.
