Bengaluru: Mere hours after Congress spokesperson Brijesh Kalappa released an audio tape of an alleged conversation between a woman and a journalist, the woman from the said tape warned that she would take legal action against him.

In a series of tweets with Kalappa, the woman accused him of “violating the dignity of a woman for political gains” and threatened to “initiate legal proceedings against him” for “outraging” her modesty and violating her dignity.

She explained that the conversation (audio tape) she had with the journalist was private and that she was “egged on by the guy”. She also clarified that the tape was made public without her permission and reiterated that she did not want to be involved in the matter and asked Kalappa to honour her request.

Kalappa then argued saying, “…This conversation has been heard by millions, having gone viral over the last 2-3 days. I had a PC only this morning. If you think I had first hand access to this conversation, you are mistaken. (sic)”

He then tweeted saying, “You’re welcome to initiate legal proceedings. Will be happy to face it. You will however find it an uphill task to prove how I have violated your dignity or that of any woman for that matter. My best wishes to all your endeavors including legal action against me!! (sic)”

He also asked the woman to listen to his press conference and try to figure out if he has violated the dignity of women or upheld it.
