In the footage, the two women can be seen exchanging blows while fellow passengers attempt to intervene and diffuse the situation. The altercation reportedly erupted after one of the women requested the closure of a window, which was denied by the other. Verbal insults quickly escalated into a physical brawl, prompting concerns among passengers.
Witnesses onboard requested the bus conductor to intervene, and some even urged for the women to be deboarded midway. A passenger recorded the incident and shared it online, drawing widespread attention to the incident.
The video sparked discussions online, with many expressing dismay over such public disturbances and advocating for stricter measures to address such behavior. Some reminisced about the days when BMTC travel was more peaceful, lamenting the current state of affairs.
In a lighter tone, some users humorously remarked on the incident, referring to it as “free entertainment” alongside the benefits of Karnataka government’s Shakti scheme, which provides free bus rides for women.
