Bengaluru: “Lol Bagh” fame stand-up comedian Sudarshan Rangaprasad has reportedly been threatened by fans of Sandalwood actor “Rocking Star” Yash for allegedly insulting the actor and his movie dialogues.
Sudarshan, the husband of Sandalwood actress Sangeetha Bhat, has alleged that negative comments, abuses against him and his family were made on social media platforms by Yash fans for using the phrase “buildup dialogue”.
In one of the episodes of “Lol Bagh”, Sudarshan said, “When we were in our college days, our family members used to say that I only say ‘buildup dialogues’ like actor Yash.”
According to reports, he has also used words like ‘anthamma’, ‘hawa’ and other words which are famously used by Yash in his movies.
For this, it is said that Yash fans have trolled Sudarshan while also threatening him and his family.
Taking to Facebook, the stand-up comedian wrote, “The two-year-old episode, where I’ve made fun of how families speak when one goes to college, has been made into an issue. I and the team of ‘Lol Bagh’ had absolutely no intention of hurting the actor. I apologize if hurt.”
“I have acted with Yash and am also a big fan of his. Some have misunderstood the video and are badly trolling me. I have not committed any mistake. I request everyone to take this on a lighter note and kindly put an end to all the confusion,” he added.
Sudarshan further wrote, “My family is receiving abusive messages, SMSs, and death threats from Yash fans. I’m sure that Yash will not expect such actions from his fans. <Requesting intervention from BENGALURU CITY POLICE Cybercrimes Division CID Karnataka> Kindly note that I had absolutely no intention of hurting Yash or his fans. Disrespecting them is not my motto. Once again I apologize.”
