Bengaluru: Following Yesu Krista statue row, the state government transferred Kanakpura tahsildar, who was considered very close to Congress leader DK Shivakumar.
According to the order issued by R Umadevi, deputy secretary, revenue department, Kanakapura tahsildar Anandaiah has been transferred and has not been shown any new posting. Yelandur tahsildar Varsha has been appointed as the new tahsildar of the Kanakapura.
Yelandur is a taluk in Chamarajanagar.
According to the transfer order copy, public interest is shown as the reason for the transfer of Anandaiah. It is he who had issued the permission for the construction of Yesu Krista statue in Kapali Betta in Kanakapura, which led to a row.
