Bengaluru: An unidentified person, who was threatening to commit suicide by touching an electrical wire while standing on the train in front of officers and onlookers, accidentally touched the wire and died on the spot.
The incident occurred at the Majestic railway station in the city, late on Monday evening. However, it came to light only after the officers registered a case in this regard in the Majestic Police station.
According to the complaint filed by the South Western Railways (SWR) officials, on Monday evening, a man in his late 30s was threatening suicide in front of the onlookers and officials. After the officers were able to convince him to come down, he accidentally touched an electric wire and died on the spot.
The case was registered three days after the man’s postmortem. The police have now launched an investigation to identify the youth.
