Kalburgi: A complaint has been filed by the BJP’s mandal unit with the local police station, accusing MLA B.R. Patil of making inflammatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During a press conference, Harshanand Guttedar, the former vice-president of the Zilla Panchayat (ZP), commented that the statements made by the MLAs regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Hindus expose their lack of substantial arguments or ideas.
During a recent interview on a private channel, B.R. Patil discussed Prime Minister Modi’s performance and cast doubt on the Pulwama attack, making unfounded allegations against the Prime Minister. He stated, “The Pulwama attack was conducted with the wrongful intent of concealing internal conflicts within the Congress,” referring to Satya Pal Mallikar’s statement. As a result, he suggests that both individuals should be charged with sedition.
He also mentioned that, “Under the guise of opposing the BJP, these MLAs have not only disrespected the nation’s security but also insulted our soldiers and fellow citizens. It is imperative that they issue a public apology to both the soldiers and the people of our nation. If they fail to do so, we will initiate a grassroots movement against them,” he cautioned.
In the ‘Drug Free India’ campaign held on October 2, 2018, to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary, the legislators discussed the topic of alcohol. The individuals in question are the ones who issue recommendation letters for liquor shop licenses and simultaneously deliver speeches against alcohol. The question raised is: can they be considered trustworthy?
If the legislators had shown as much diligence in focusing on development, they should have utilized the government’s new grant for the benefit of laborers,” they urged. “They also suggested that recommendations be made for opening an MSI shop in Rudrawadi, along with documenting changes in the duration of contractors, all of which they promptly facilitated. BJP Mandal President Anand Patil, Mallinath Pareni, and others were present, at the event.
