Chamarajnagar:Â The Forest Department has successfully captured a bear that had been causing panic in the village of Annurukeri. The captured bear has been relocated to the Molehole Forest Range in the Bandipur Tiger Reserve.

On Wednesday morning, villagers in Annurukeri were shocked to see a bear suddenly appear in the village. Fearing a sudden attack, the villagers locked themselves in their homes requested the Forest Department to capture the bear. Upon receiving information from the villagers, the Forest Department staff launched an operation and succeeded in trapping the bear within a few hours. The captured bear was then safely released into the Molehole Forest Range.
