A tragic incident has been reported from Chikkamagaluru district, where a nurse allegedly died by suicide after jumping into a river, police said.
Incident reported near riverbank
According to police, the woman, who was working as a nurse, reportedly entered the river and did not return. Locals later alerted authorities after noticing suspicious activity near the riverbank.
Rescue teams were deployed immediately, and a search operation was carried out to trace her.

After hours of search efforts, officials recovered the body from the river. The identity of the deceased was confirmed, and the body was sent for post-mortem examination.
