Karwar: “Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy must apologise for provoking and misguiding the people. I urge the police to file a case against HDK”, said MLA and former minister Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri in the Shirsi town of Uttara Kannada district on September 20.

He was expressing anguish over a statement made by HDK this morning-“The inventor of ‘Percentage System’ is Yeddyurappa. Let him not drag my family into the matter. I’m the chief minister, I know what has to be done. I have the power.” Addressing the media, he termed some Congress and Janata Dal (S) workers “Goondas” and accused them of trying to barge into BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa’s residence. “This is unacceptable and intolerable”, he added.

“With a fear of losing power, the insecure CM has given such a statement. To cover up his mistakes, he is diverting the matter and misguiding the public”, he added.
