Karwar: In order to attract youth, especially first-time voters towards the electoral process, the district administration had organized a unique programme of providing voters ID, through scuba diving, here on Sunday, April 21.
The programme was organized by SVEEP committee at Netrani Island of Murdeshwar for the first time voters.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Harish Kumar K and CEO of Zilla Panchayat M Roshan and team had created awareness under water and requested the first time voters to vote.
The voters ID were given away for the first time voters namely Mutnalli Roopesh Gajanan Naik, Vignesh Subrai Devadiga and Ganesh Shivanand Devadiga from Mavalli, and Vinayak Venkataramana Naik from Mundalli.
These youth have assured that they would definitely encourage every electorate to exercise their voting rights without fail.
