Karwar: 3 arrested for transporting bulls in violent manner

Karwar: Three persons were arrested by Ankola Police for allegedly transporting six bulls violently in a Bolero Vehicle near Alageri Cross.

The arrested have been identified as Kallappa Mahadevappa Ramanakoppa (32) of Kalaghatagi, Suresh Ganu Naik (55) of Alageri Village and Subash Nagesh Naik (35). In all 6 bulls worth around Rs. 60,000 were being transported illegally without any licence.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Ankola PSI Praveen Kumar conducted a raid and rescued six bulls and arrested three persons.

A case has been registered at Ankola Police Station in this regard.
