Karwar: Lakhs of rupees were found to be illegally stored in Harawada. The incident took place at Harawada in Ankola Taluk when the Excise Department officials seized liquor worth Rs. 1,000 Crore.
The excise raids were conducted at the house of Shweta Anandu Harikantra of Harikantrawada in Tarangameta of Haravada Village and seized 324 litres of Goa fenugreek and 280 litres of it. The fenny, made from cashew nuts, has a total of 604 litres at an estimated cost of Rs 3.22 Lakh have been seized.
The accused, Shweta Pari, has been absconding when the Excise Officials conducted a raid. A case has been registered.
