Mangaluru: In a shocking incident that took place during a village council meeting in Kadaba Taluk of Dakshina Kannada district, a serious allegation was made against a government medical officer, Dr. Shishira. The allegation pertained to the death of a female student, which was allegedly caused by her. These accusations of mental stress and violence were leveled against Dr. Shishira, who is a pregnant medical officer. She succumbed to severe pressure and collapsed.
Dr. Shishira, from Nelyadi health center, faced criticism from Dikayya Poojary and Ganesh during the Gram Sabha on October 9. Dr. Shishira collapsed while responding and was later diagnosed with a miscarriage at a private hospital in Puttur. Currently, Dr. Shishira is receiving medical care at a private hospital in Mangaluru and is reliant on ventilator support. Police complaints were filed against villagers Dekayya Poojary and Ganesh.
The Dakshina Kannada District State Government Medical Officers Association escalated the matter to Uppinangady Police Station for action against the accused villagers.
