Mangaluru: Animal Care Trust (ACT) is organising one more adoption camp for desi dogs and cats at Viarad Complex, near Govinda Dasa PU College, Surathkal, on February 24, from 10 am to 5 pm.
ACT, a registered charitable trust that has been actively involved in caring for these voiceless beings across Mangaluru stands as a monument of compassion. After a successful adoption camp conducted on February 17, ACT is now all set to organise yet another camp on Sunday. With an aim to provide loving homes to the desi dogs and cats, the ACT has been organising adoption camp. These stray animals are rescued by ACT’s volunteers from heart-wrenching situations, abuse, neglect and injury due to accidents. Once these animals become healthier they are put up for adoption.
It has been ACT’s endeavour to put an end to the miseries of these voiceless beings and find them forever homes,” informs Suma Nayak, Trustee of ACT.
While no payment is charged for adoption only a nominal registration fee of Rs 200 is charged, which helps in covering the basic medical expenses incurred. Potential adopters must get a valid photo ID for registration. It is also necessary that children must be accompanied by their parents or their guardians, ACT informed in a press release.
