Sullia: The ABVP leaders have clarified that the accused in Akshatha murder case does not belong to their organisation.
Addressing a press meet on February 23, ABVP leader Nikesh Ubaradka said, “On social media, some people are spreading false rumours that Karthik who is arrested on charges of murdering his classmate belongs to the ABVP. Some of the Congress leaders too are involved in making false accusations and using it as a political tool. The rumour is far from the truth. Karthik has not took part in any of the ABVP programmes nor is he our member.”
Nikesh further said that instead of playing politics over a dead body, they should help the family of the victim. “Today students are becoming victims of bad habits. We have brought this to the notice of the department officials concerned.”
Karthik Laxman, Kaushal, Karthik K B and Sharan Kamarje were present at the press meet.
