Mangaluru: Anil John Sequeira, a resident of Borimar in Bantwal taluk, has achieved a significant milestone by clearing the Karnataka Civil Judge Examination 2023 at the young age of 25. Securing success in all stages, including the Prelims, Mains, and interviews, he now holds the distinction of being the youngest Civil Judge (Judicial Magistrate) in Karnataka.
A graduate of BBA LLB from SDM Law College, Mangaluru, Anil has consistently demonstrated academic excellence since his early education. His schooling began at St Joseph Higher Primary School in Borimar, followed by Karnataka High School in Mani, and he completed his pre-university education at St Philomena P. U College, Puttur.
An active member of the Mangalore Bar Association, Anil has been practicing as a civil lawyer alongside esteemed legal professionals Deepak D’Souza and Naveen S Pais. His journey to success reflects not only his academic brilliance but also his leadership roles during his educational years.
During high school, Anil served as the School People Leader, showcasing his leadership qualities at a young age. In college, he continued his leadership roles as a class representative for two consecutive years and as the coordinator of the Library Advisory Committee at SDM Law College.
In addition to his academic and professional endeavors, Anil Sequeira served as the President of ICYM (Indian Catholic Youth Movement) of Mangalore Diocese in 2022.
