Mangaluru: The chairman of MCC Bank Ltd., Anil Lobo, has been chosen to receive the 2023 “Sahakari Ratna” state level award.
Anil Lobo is eligible for the award because of his devoted leadership of the cooperative movement in Dakshina Kannada and his outreach to the public through cooperative chains, according to a press release from the Karnataka State Co-Operative Federation.
The award will be presented to Anil Lobo at the valedictory function of the 70th anniversary of the All India Co-operative Movement Week which will be held in Vijayapura district.
In the cooperative movement, Anil Lobo—who was chosen to serve a second term as chairman of MCC Bank Ltd.—is renowned for his ability to lead and solve problems. The MCC bank saw a significant increase in profit and growth during his chairmanship. He launched a number of customer-friendly initiatives, all of which received overwhelming support from the populace.
The first member of the Christian community to win the coveted award is Anil Lobo.
