Bajpe: A putrefied male cheetah’s dead body has been found in Ekkaru Agariguttu forest on Monday, November 12 afternoon. After investigation, it was concluded that the cheetah might have died 5 to 6 days ago.

It was also assumed that the death might be a natural one and its age at the time might have been around 9 to 10 years.

Prior to this, there have been various instances of cheetah prowling in the Ekkaru region.

After the post mortem of the carcass, it was set ablaze at the very same location. During this, Forest Department Mangaluru Zone Ranger Shridhar, Forester Jayaraj and Ekkaru Gram Panchayat President Shuresh Shetty were present.
