Mangaluru: The website of the Association of Physicians India, DK Chapter- www.apidk.org was launched on June 19 at Father Muller Medical College Hospital by Dr BH Krishnamoorthy Rao, founder President of API, DK Chapter at 3 pm.
Rev. Fr Ajith Menezes, Administrator, FMMC was the guest of honour. Dr. Venkatesha BM, President, API DK Chapter presided over the programme.
Dr B H Krishnamoorthy Rao spoke of the initial days in 1991 when the association was established with only 35 members. The association now has 160 members, he said.
Fr Ajith Menezes spoke on the use of technology in the COVID era and the importance of virtual meetings.
Dr H Prabhakar, Interventional Cardiologist, Father Muller Medical College Hospital and former president of API DK Chapter spoke on the importance of a website for the API DK Chapter to foster communication among its members.
Guest speaker Gerard Colaco spoke on effective personal investments in the Covid era.
Dr Mohammed Ashraf, Treasurer proposed a vote of thanks. The introductory note and insight into the website was given by Dr Archana Bhat, Secretary, API, DK Chapter.

The Father Muller Medical College has been at the forefront of medical education and incorporated e-learning into its curriculum even before the COVID pandemic. With a strong and gifted faculty, the college has catered to many budding physicians. The Father Muller Charitable Institutions has supported events in the medical and allied health college realm, thus helping its students and faculty broaden their horizon.
