Belthangady: A gruesome accident near Gerukatte in Belthangady claimed one life and left five others, including three children in critical state.
An auto collided head on with a Maruti car near Kemmattemaru of Gerukatte in Belthangady on Sunday.
As a result Veena (35), resident of Gerukatte died on the spot. Her husband Komalaksha (45), children Gayathri (12), Rakshith (8) and Akshay (7) and her neighbor Devaki (23) have been critically injured.
Komalaksha was driving his auto with wife, children and neighbor on board. When is auto reached Kemmatemaru, a Maruti car plying from the opposite direction collided with the auto toppling the auto.
All the six in the auto suffered injuries and Veena died.
Belthangady police have registered a case.
