Bajrang Dal activist prohibited from entering three taluks

Mangaluru: Dhanya Kumar, a Bajrang Dal activist has been prohibited by the police from entering Puttur, Sullia and Belthangady taluks.

Assistant Commissioner of Puttur Sub-Divison K V Rajendra issued the order on a request from the Puttur Town Police.

Dhanya Kumar, 32, had been involved in many ‘immoral rowdyism’ and also involved in trespassing into a theatre to stop screening Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dilwale in Puttur last year.

Sharanappa S D, Superintendent of Police, said that Kumar was involved in rioting as well. “He has been accused in disturbing the peace and tranquility of the region” he said.

Kumar has been asked to voluntarily move out of the three taluks. He has reportedly filed an appeal questioning the order.
