A fatal accident unfolded on the Mangaluru-Bengaluru national highway early on Tuesday, March 12, claiming the life of a young bike rider. The victim, identified as Akshith (25) from Amtadi, was seriously injured after his two-wheeler crashed into a tree at Maripalla.
Akshith, employed in a private company in Mangaluru, was on his way home after completing a night shift around 4 am. Unfortunately, as he approached Maripalla at approximately 4:30 am, he lost control of his bike and collided with a roadside tree, resulting in severe injuries. Despite immediate efforts to save him, Akshith was declared dead upon arrival at a private hospital in Mangaluru.
The circumstances surrounding the accident, whether it was caused by drowsiness or other factors, remain unclear. Melkar traffic police responded to the scene and are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the tragic incident. The community mourns the loss of Akshith, highlighting the importance of road safety awareness and caution while commuting.
