Mangaluru: MLA UT Khader has condemned the move of the state government of denying permission for the swearing-in ceremony of DK Shivakumar as the president of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC).

Addressing the reporters at the district Congress office in Mallikatta on Wednesday, June 10, Khader said, “By denying permission for the event, the BJP government is indulging in vendetta politics. BJP is frightened about the DK Shivakumar’s administration skills. Hence, the state government has not given permission for holding the event. However, DKshi’s power will be doubled if the state government would deny permission for his swearing-in ceremony,” he said.

“Though DKshi’s visit to Mangaluru was scheduled today, bad weather condition has forced him to cancel his visit. However, before the swearing-in ceremony, DKshi would visit Mangaluru,” Khader added.

Khader alleged that the state government has failed to handle COVID 19 situation in the state. “The relaxation on guidelines of lockdown and the revised set of guidelines for quarantine among others are the hasty decision of the government. The mistakes of government would force the people to suffer badly,” he said.

Meanwhile, Khader informed that there is no proper coordination between the education department and the government. “Minister for Primary and Secondary Education S Suresh Kumar has been giving multiple statements, which has confused the SSLC Students. If the government would conduct SSLC exams, proper precautionary measures should be taken. Special concern should be given to the students from the border areas,” he stressed.
