Mangaluru: As the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rains in coastal Karnataka between June 11 and 14, the Dakshina Kannada district administration has asked the public to take utmost care.
Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh, in a press release, informed that as per the forecast, the coastal area is expected to receive around 64.5 mm to 115.5mm rain between June 11 and 12 (Yellow Alert) and 115.6mm to 202.4mm of rain between June 13 and 14 (Orange Alert).
The DC also asked the public to contact the toll-free number 1077, if any rain-related issues occur in the district.
