Mangaluru: Thanking the party leaders for providing the opportunity to contest the assembly elections from Mangaluru South Constituency, BJP candidate Vedavyasa Kamath on April 23, said that the party will reach out to the people focusing on the achievements of development programmes initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the last four years.
Addressing a press meet at BJP office here on April 23, Kamath said, “The BJP will also campaign to highlight the failures of the Congress government in Karnataka. It will also educate people on the failure of local administration of Congress in Mangaluru City Corporation.”
“The city faces several challenges such as problem of drinking water, lack of footpaths for the pedestrians and poor drainage system. The Congress-led MCC has failed to provide proper administration”, he added.
Replying to the media query, he said, “There is no dissent within the party. The people will vote on the party ideology and voters will never get confused.”
He also claimed that the BJP had already completed first round of campaigning.
