Bantwal : The Bantwal and Panemangalore Block Congress units have congratulated the local police for cracking the mystery behind the suspicious missing of a minor girl from Sarapady and tracing her.
Speaking to reporters at BC Road on Wednesday May 13, Harikrishna Bantwal, Congress Spokesperson charged the BJP of resorting to cheap politics over the issue and also hurling unnecessary allegations against the Congress. “The true colur of the BJP now stands revealed,” Harikrishna Bantwal said.
He said investigations have revealed that the girl’s maternal aunt herself had handed over the girl to one Ashok of Chikkota in Bijapur who was an already married man and father of two children. He said the girl fell prey to the lurings of Ashok owing to mobile conversations and added local Congress leaders Mailappa Salian, Shivappa Poojari and others had strived hard in tracing the girl and that even District Minister Ramanatha Rai had instructed police to hasten probe into the case.
He said it was shameful that BJP leaders including former minister Nagaraj Shetty tried to give a communal colour to the incident by stating that the minor girl has been pushed to brothel in Mumbai.
To a question he said the Congress was ready to provide all possible assistance to the girl’s family if her parents approach it.
Block Congress Presidents Abbas Ali, Mailappa Salian, TP Members Padmashekhar Jain, Sharief, Aida Suresh and others were present.
