Boat capsizes in Panambur; claims life of 2-year-old kid

Mangaluru: An incident of a boat capsizing at Panambur beach on Wednesday evening claimed the life of a two and half year old boy. The boy was missing when the rescue team spotted and rescued five others who were on the boat.

At 6.30 PM on October 5, a tourist motor boat carrying six passengers capsized in the beach when the boat was hit by a wave. One of the six was Mohammad Sadan, the two and half year old son of Hanahilahi and Fatima Sana was missing.

Lifeguards who were on duty successfully rescued the five adults but Sadan could not be found. Lifeguards were helped by the fire department and coastal security police in conducting the rescue operation.
