Mangaluru: Three women were rescued by City Crime Branch (CCB) police after bursting a flesh trade racket which was operating from a building located on K S Rao Road in the city on Thursday, December 6.
According to Mangaluru North police, where a complaint has been lodged under Immoral Traffic Prevention Act (ITPA), the raid was conducted by CCB Inspector Shantharam, Mangaluru North police station’s Inspector Suresh Kumar and PSIs Shyam Sundar and H D Kabbalaraj. They received an information about flesh trade in a massage centre. It is said that though the brothel was running under the guise of massage parlour.
Though police succeeded in rescuing three women, the owner of the massage parlour fled the scene during the raid, police sources said. Mangaluru North police have registered a case and are investigating.
