Mangaluru: With regard to Hijab controversy at University College, Assembly Deputy Opposition Leader U. T. Khader clearly warned the hijab-clad students.
Speaking to mediapersons on Monday June 6 in the City, he said “Those who are stubborn on wearing Hijab, those who speak against the law should visit abroad and countries like Pakistan and Saudi. Then they will know the importance of our country, he added.
Further he said, “Here they can speak as they like, they can meet Deputy Commissioner and also can hold press meets freely. But once go abroad and behave the way one is behaving in our country and give statements like these, and that is when one will know the reality. All those who are acting like tigers in India will become cat abroad, he added sarcastically.
He stressed that they will know the importance of our country’s law, and also will also realise the importance of liberty. He also advised the Hijab-clad students that education is more important than one’s religion. It is through education that the students should build their career and personality. He also advised parents to be careful of their children so that they won’t be mislead
