CPIM’s protest against the increase in prices of petrol, diesel and LPG

Mangaluru: A protest was held against the anti-populist policies of the government leading to the rising prices of petrol, diesel and LPG by the CPIM on Thursday March 4, in front of Mini Vidhana Soudha.

Addressing the protest, CPIM DK District Secretary committee member, J Balakrishna Shetty said, “the BJP, which always opposed the wrong economic policies of the Congress government, is now implementing the same policies that have ruined the country’s economy and the common public has suffered a lot due to this.”

CPIM Mangalore City South Secretary Sunil Kumar Bajal said that all the BJP leaders, including MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, who staged protests against the price hike today are silent. “It has been proven that the Modi government is not working for the general public,rather it favors Ambanis and Adanis. Acche Din is for them not for the public,” he commented.

Dayananda Shetty, CPIM Mangalore City North Secretary said, “people need to be aware of the dangerous policies of the fascist government that is misleading the country by politicizing in the name of the Gods of religion, putting the media under their control.”

CPIM Mangalore city leaders Santosh Bazal, Jayanti Shetty, Babu Devadiga, Dinesh Shetty, Basheer Panjimogaru, Rajesh Urvastore, CITU leaders Bharti Bolara, Mohammed Mustafa, Santosh RS, Umesh Shakti Nagar took part in the protest.
