DC clamps prohibitory orders in DK ahead of trust vote

Mangaluru: Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil has clamped prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code between 8 a.m. of Saturday to 10 a.m. of Sunday in Dakshina Kannada.

The prohibitory orders issued in the view of confidence voting by Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa in the assembly at 4:00 p.m.

The order will be in place in Bantwal, Puttur, Sullia, Belthangady Taluks.
Police commissioner Vipul Kumar has already issued prohibitory orders in Mangaluru City Police limits.

The Deputy Commissioner, in circular clearly stated that prohibitory orders has been issued to maintain law and order in the district.
