Mangaluru: The special investigation team led by ACP Manjunath Shetty on April 4, has filed a 500-page chargesheet with the II JMFC Court in connection with the murder of Deepak Rao in Katipalla on January 3.
It is mentioned in the chargesheet that Mohammed Nawaz of Katipalla alias Pinky Nawaz, Rizwan alias Ejju, Mohammed Naushad, Mohammed Irshan, Abdul Aziz, Abdul Azim, Mohammed Rafiq alias Mango Rafiq, Irfan, Mohammed Anas alias Anchu, Mohammed Zahid alias Zahi, Hidayathullha, Imran and Safwan from Katipalla were involved in the crime.
The accused, Safwan is still at large and the rest are in judicial custody. It is learnt that after completing the probe, an additional chargesheet will be filed before the court.
