Mangaluru: The Dakshina Kannada district administration along with the Centre for Entrepreneurship Opportunities and Learning (CEOL) and Alva’s Education Foundation is organising “Disha Career Fest”, on February 17 at Mangaluru University College, Konaje.
Addressing a press meet at his office on February 5, Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district Sasikanth Senthil said that the job fair would be exclusively for those who have passed out and youth who are unemployed even after completing courses like PG, UG, ITI, Diploma, SSLC but except the Engineering course students.
Candidates should enroll their name through online registration process. Once job aspirants register their names, the CEOL website will track details about the candidates. Thereafter the CEOL will disseminate the information about the job opportunities to the job aspirants. CEOL centre will also provide counselling and suggestions to the job aspirants, he added.
DC further said, “We are expecting 150 companies at the job fest. This is organised with a goal. After proper scrutiny, the companies will be allowed to participate in this job fair. Already 66 companies have registered. As of now, there are 3470 vacancies and 1168 candidates have already registered.
Vivek Alva, Alvas Education Foundation Trustee, said that there would be an orientation programme for candidates on February 10, KPT, Kadri Hills from 9 AM to 9 PM.
