Does Mangalore University Follow the Rules In Conducting Examinations?

Mangalore University Really Follow the Rules

Interference from former officials may not always be good, but what if it is a question of a scam that is worth more than a hundred crores, as in the recent case connected with the Mangalore University?

It is with this in mind that SR Harish Acharya came forward to question the authorities on the matter of recruitment, demanding a probe on whether they consider the rules and statutes when conducting examinations for cooperative societies.

The probe is mainly a reaction to the Enforcement Directorate search that took place in the first week of this year, revealing a scam of 150 crores.

The scam was in connection with the Kolar Chikkaballapur district milk producers union limited (KOMUL). All this has led one to question whether the University ever followed any statutes in the processes of its examinations, with so many of its cooperative societies remaining outside the Mangalore jurisdiction.

The university was later found to have even held an examination at a private PU college, which is obviously illegal.

From this, we can only imagine what is to be left of the University’s reputation, all thanks to its decision to get involved in such a scam. If only it had followed the rules expected by the enforcement directorate in conducting its examinations as set by the board, it wouldn’t be seeing such a day.

For now, we can only hope that the authorities in charge rectify the matter soon and that such incidents do not occur again in the future, for it’s sad to see an association connected with education following acts that can bring shame all through the nation.
