Kasargod: Unfurling the ugly face of the aftermath of the ‘fatal endo spray’, a young man from Perla died after he could not respond to the treatment.
Shridhara Shetty (31) from Swarga Kodangeri, an endosulfan victim fought endo-inflicted disabilities all his life and succumbed to the same on January 16.
The deceased was getting government pension but better treatment was not available. It is said that he studied up to class VII and then had bouts of memory loss and other issues due to which he discontinued his studies. With passing days, his health condition only went from bad to worse and over the last several years, he remained bedridden.
It may be recalled that a family of four including two aged parents and two endo-effected young men ended life by plunging into a lake at Kokkada. It was said that the family was fed up of their helplessness.
