Bantwal: A fatal accident occurred on the Peruvayi-Beripadavu Road in Bantwal, involving an auto-rickshaw and a scooter, resulting in the tragic demise of a passenger. The victim, identified as Nagesh Bhat (47), a resident of Bayaru Peruvodi, lost his life after falling onto the road during the collision.
The incident took place when the auto-rickshaw, carrying passengers, collided with a scooter, causing the passenger to fall onto the road. Despite immediate medical attention, Nagesh Bhat succumbed to his injuries. Two other individuals, identified as Vinod and Annu, sustained injuries in the accident and were promptly admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The medical officer of Vittal Community Hospital confirmed Nagesh Bhat’s unfortunate demise, expressing condolences to the bereaved family.
Local authorities are conducting an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the collision.
