Fr Muller Institutions: Graduation Ceremony, Institution’s Day on Mar 13

Mangaluru: “The Institution’s Day and Graduation Ceremony of Father Muller Charitable Institution will be held on March 13 at 5 PM in Father Muller Stadium”, said Fr. Richard Aloysius Coelho.

Addressing a press meet here, Fr. Richard Aloysius Coelho said that there were 654 graduates from the Medical College, Allied Health Sciences, Homeopathic Medical College, School and College of Nursing and College of Speech and Hearing. Also this day will mark the 177th birth anniversary of the Founder Rev. Fr. Augustus Muller SJ.”

“Dr. Vedprakash Mishra, Chancellor of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Karad will be the chief guest. Dr. H Veerabhadrappa, President of Karnataka Medical Council, Bengaluru will be the guest of honour. Most Rev. Dr. Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangaluru Diocese will be the main celebrant”, he said.

He also said that on the same day, the Father Muller Indoor Stadium, Gymnasium and Multi Storeyed Parking Zone will be inaugurated at around 9:30 AM, with the honourable state minister for Fisheries, Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Karnataka, Pramod Madhwaraj as Chief Guest and former Indian tracker and field athlete P T Usha as the Guest of Honour. It is a fully integrated state-of-the art sports complex of national standard with centralised air conditioning and a total playing area of 20,000 sq.ft. He also said that the complex has facilities for playing badminton, basketball, volleyball and a state of the art gymnasium with the most modern equipment and a sprawling 4500 sq.ft area with PU flooring. The Indoor sports area holds 2 pool tables and table tennis tables each respectively along with a 1000 sq.ft. squash court. The multi level parking area with a total of 85,4500 sq.ft, which can accommodate 350 cars at a time.

In the year 2018, the Father Muller Medical College and Hospital has secured 34 ranks. The institution has received Indian Achievers Award-2018 under the social service category.
