Mangaluru: Two persons were injured during a freak accident at Nanthoor circle on Monday, April 1, night.
According to the eye witness, when a motorcycle, bearing the registration number of Kerala, plying through Nanthoor circle, police instructed the rider to stop his vehicle. When rider attempted to stop his vehicle, a car which was plying from behind, suddenly stopped as its driver applied brakes to stop his car. Meanwhile, another car which was also plying in the same direction hit the car, which resulted in injuries to two passengers who were in the car, including a toddler.
In such melee, motorcycle cycle rider escaped from the place. The police who attempted to stop the motorcycle could not nab the motorcycle. As two people were injured in the incident, the drivers of both car took police to task and blamed them for the accident. Locals at the area gathered in large number.
On information, DCP (Law and Order) Hanumantharaya rushed to the spot and dispersed the crowd. The injured were shifted to hospital.
