Kasargod: Eleven persons have been arrested from two gambling den and Rs 23,000 has been seized in cash in two separate raids conducted by Kumble and Kasargod police.
K R Ganesh(43) from Adkathabail, Mohammed Kunhi K(32) from Badiyadka, Arun S(34) from Kunjattur, Mohammed Nawaz(28) from Mogral Puttur, Vasantha(35) from Biranthabail, Jeevan(29) from Kasargod Ashiwininagar were arrested from a gambling den near Kasargod bus stand and seized Rs 22, 280 cash from them by the Kasargod police.
In another raid by the Kumble police, five gamblers have been arrested and Rs 1840 cash has been recovered. The arrested are Shridhara(42) from Shedikav, Manoj(34) from Nellikunje, Narayana(50) from Peruvad, Jayakara(45) and Jagannatha(37) from Naikapu.
The accused were produced in court and have been sent to judicial custody.
